Position Summary

The Receptionist serves as the first impression of The Grand Adventure Academy. More than simply answering phones, this position is responsible for creating a warm, welcoming, organized, and professional environment for every child, family member, employee, and visitor who enters our center.

Our Receptionist is the heart of our front office—building relationships with families, supporting enrollment, maintaining accurate records, assisting leadership with daily operations, and ensuring the front desk operates efficiently while protecting the safety and confidentiality of every child.

We are seeking someone who is compassionate, highly organized, dependable, professional, and passionate about serving children and families.

Primary Responsibilities

Family Relations

  • Welcome every family with warmth and professionalism
  • Learn children’s and parents’ names
  • Build positive relationships with families
  • Assist prospective families with tours and enrollment information
  • Answer parent questions or direct them to the appropriate staff member
  • Maintain confidentiality of all child and family information
  • Help create an atmosphere where every family feels valued and respected

Front Office Operations

  • Answer and route incoming phone calls
  • Respond to emails professionally and promptly
  • Monitor the front entrance and visitor check-in process
  • Ensure all visitors sign in and meet security requirements
  • Assist with daily attendance records
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
  • Keep reception and lobby areas clean, organized, and inviting
  • Maintain office supplies and notify leadership when inventory is low

Administrative Support

  • Assist the Director and Assistant Director with daily administrative tasks
  • Prepare enrollment packets
  • Maintain child and staff files
  • Scan and organize documents
  • File licensing paperwork
  • Prepare classroom forms as needed
  • Assist with payroll paperwork and onboarding documents
  • Help organize employee records
  • Support licensing visits and audits

Enrollment & Registration

  • Respond to enrollment inquiries
  • Schedule family tours
  • Prepare registration packets
  • Collect required documentation
  • Assist with waitlists
  • Enter enrollment information into Procare
  • Ensure child files remain complete and compliant

Procare Responsibilities

Experience with Procare is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting families with Procare registration
  • Updating child information
  • Verifying attendance
  • Assisting with billing questions
  • Maintaining emergency contacts
  • Uploading required documents
  • Monitoring digital forms
  • Supporting staff with basic Procare questions

Safety & Security

  • Monitor entry into the building
  • Verify visitor identification
  • Ensure authorized pickups only
  • Follow all emergency procedures
  • Report safety concerns immediately
  • Assist during emergency drills
  • Protect confidential information at all times

Customer Service Excellence

Qualifications

Position Overview

 

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and enthusiastic Full-Time Infant Teacher to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood development, understands the unique needs of infants, and is committed to building strong relationships with children and families.

 

Our infant teachers play a vital role in creating warm, responsive, and enriching classroom environments where babies feel secure, loved, and encouraged to explore the world around them.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

Provide attentive, nurturing, and responsive care to infants

Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment

Support developmental milestones through age-appropriate activities and interactions

Follow individualized feeding, sleeping, and care routines

Communicate daily with families regarding their child’s care and development

Implement curriculum activities aligned with developmental goals and classroom routines

Maintain licensing and health/safety standards at all times

Collaborate positively with coworkers and leadership team

 

 

What We’re Looking For

 

Passion for working with infants and young children

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Dependability, professionalism, and patience

Ability to create a calm, nurturing classroom environment

Previous childcare experience preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to grow in the field

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or willingness to obtain one

Experience in a licensed childcare setting

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
